How to Wash Your Towel
Care Instructions
We always recommend you give your Good Wash Day towel a quick wash before first use.
In terms of how often to launder your towel, it depends how you use it.
If you have curly or wavy hair there's a good chance you plop or micro plop, so you may apply products 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 wrap your hair in your towel. In this case we recommend you wash your towel after every couple of uses, depending on how much product you use and its type—a little lightweight leave-in won't leave as much residue as a hard-hold gel.
If you wrap your clean hair in your towel, without products, you only need to wash it every few times. Just hang it up to dry between uses.
The fabric manufacturer recommends a 30 degree cycle. They don't get dirty so a quick 15 minute wash should suffice.
Obviously we don't condone using the washing machine for just one or two lightweight towels, for environmental and financial reasons. If you have more than one towel you can save them up and wash them together (that's what we do!).
Having said that, we do know of some people who wash their towels at 40 degrees, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 tumble dry them and have been doing so every couple of weeks for a year. We’re not recommending this. We’re just sharing what we know.
Please note that up to 4% shrinkage is absolutely normal and we have allowed for this in the dimensions.
Oh, and don’t use fabric conditioner: nobody needs that in their hair!
