I bought this to help with peri-menopause hair loss and as it’s so gentle to wrap your wet hair in, I think I am losing a bit less hair when drying it with the hairdryer. I will definitely be taking it on holiday with me in case my hair goes frizzy in a different climate and it’ll take up next to no room in my suitcase. In fact, I have purchased a 2nd one so I have a spare when one is in the wash. Yes it is expensive but sometimes you just need to treat yourself.

I have held back on leaving my review as I wanted a few weeks of use before commenting. Well, I am delighted to say that my hair dries quicker and is definitely smoother, softer and less knotty after using my GWD towel for the past 4-5 weeks. My order was processed quickly, packaging is no nonsense and quality and I would happily buy as gifts. Although my order arrived in good time I have to admit that I did try using a t shirt to test out the theory before it arrived .....the t shirt was heavier and difficult to keep on, so the GWD towel was the winner by far. Like colour, fabric, good for my hair. Quite a bit of blue dye came out in first wash before use.
Thanks for your review Elinor! I'm really pleased that you love your GWD hair towel. It's quite normal for deeper colours to seep some dye at the first wash which is why I recommend washing before first use. (Because the fabric is organic jersey cotton no toxic dyes are used.)

Absolutely love these hair towls, not only does it take less time to dry my hair,my hair has never felt so soft. I believe in the ethics of the company, using a excellent quality material and from this country (Less air miles) and keeping it local.

Watching Carla on Dragon's Den, I was already drawn to the ethical sustainability of the GWD hair towel but was also completely sold by her own passion and ethos, I had to have this product! I also like to support the 'smaller' businesses that may be engulfed by the big companies, that mostly have no ethical conscience or values. I therefore purchased the teal coloured towel. Due to the obvious high demand for sales following her appearance on DD, Carla was suddenly inundated with orders. I received a lovely personal email explaining the situation regarding late delivery. I can say that the towel is pure quality, washes beautifully and is so good for my extra fine hair. It is light to wear, dries quickly, and gives gorgeous defined waves to my usually straight hair. I will be purchasing more for family and friends (as gifts) and definitely for myself!

Unfortunates this towel hasn’t worked for me, I have naturally curly hair and it didn’t make any difference to the frizz I suffer with. I have followed the instructions to the letter but it has made no difference to my hair at all, if I dry it with a normal towel it is exactly the same. A waste of money for me.

I can really recommend this towel. It is very gentle on my hair and is so lightweight . I had to pay duty as I live in Ireland which made it very expensive
I'm so pleased you love it Ursula. I make it really clear on my shipping page, and in the order confirmation email, that buyers are responsible for duty but it is taking some people by surpise, especially in Ireland. Unfortunately this is a hangover from Brexit (grrrr).
Love the product but disappointed that I was sent black rather than the ordered clementine. Understand that busy time but would have preferred being asked if I’d accept a different colour or happy to wait.

I bought two - one for myself and one for a friend. After that lacing my order I decided to order one for my granddaughter and one for my daughter. It maintains my granddaughters curls and for me it’s gentle on my ‘old lady’ hair. All recipients love their wraps !

The towel is really absorbent and is a perfect size to wrap around my head. Only negative is that it looks like an old rag once used!
That's not one I've heard before Vivienne! Not sure if you mean once it's wet from use, or once you've used it then washed it. I hang mine over our airer and whilst it is a bit creased (I don't bother ironing it!) it looks okay! I appreciate your feedback and am pleased you like it.

The towel seems to be doing a good job in removing the excess water from my hair without too much effort. I saw this on Dragons Den and having had hair loss issues over the years decided it's worth a go. Early days but seems to be pretty good.

Chuffed to bits with this review Carol! Thank you. I couldn't find what I wanted to buy; a regular towel shape, no buttons or fasteners, but made from T-shirt fabric. Organic jersey cotton and made in the UK were the icing on the cake! So pleased you love it, and that you knew what to expect :-)
Lightweight as advertised, does the job but can come loose. Nice quality, but a tad overpriced in my opinion.

I saw this product on Dragons Den. My hair was damaged and dried out from using a towel and hair dryer to dry my hair. I now use the dryer sparingly or not at all and do not use as much conditioner.
